About
Judith Herron is an abstract painter and sculptor. Her work deals primarily with color and texture, manipulating various media to reveal unexpected properties. Judith has been painting for most of her life. Along the way she has explored many directions both in and out of the studio, but it wasn’t until she enrolled at Hunter College in the 1970’s and began taking courses in the Art Department that she began to develop her artistic “voice”. She was fortunate to have the opportunity to work and study with some of the most inventive painters and sculptors in New York at the time. The exposure to their vision and perspective affected her deeply and transformed her work. By the mid 1980’s she began to exhibit her paintings and sculptures. Her work is now included in major private and public collections throughout the United States.
Judith Herron lives and works in New York City.
